How eczema looks like?

My son has some really itchy, red patches on his skin, especially on his arms and behind his knees. My mother said it might be eczema. What does eczema usually look like? I want to know if it matches his symptoms.

On Indian skin tones, eczema might not look very red; it often appears as dry, brownish, or dark rough patches that itch a lot. Keeping your body hydrated and avoiding sugary, inflammatory foods can sometimes help calm the skin down.

It usually looks like dry, red, and super itchy patches on the skin, especially near the elbows or knees. Don't stress too much about it, buddy! Just avoid scratching and keep the area well moisturized with a gentle lotion.

I have these dry, rough patches on my wrists that itch sometimes when it's cold. Does eczema look like that, or is it just seasonal dry skin? Should I see a skin doctor for this?

I panicked so much thinking it was a major infection when I saw red, flaky patches on my neck. But my dermatologist reassured me it was just mild eczema triggered by a new soap. Once I switched to a mild, fragrance-free moisturizer, it went away.

It looks like extremely dry, scaly skin that can get inflamed and red when you sweat during workouts. I'd suggest wearing loose cotton clothes and showering immediately after exercise to prevent sweat from irritating those patches.
