How does vaping affect mental health?

A few of my friends have started vaping, and I'm curious about it myself. I've heard some things about it affecting mental health, like anxiety or concentration. Can someone explain how it impacts our mind and mood?

Vaping basically gives you a quick buzz and then leaves your mood hanging in the middle of nowhere, making you super irritable. It's like paying money to buy anxiety in a small plastic stick! Skip the vape, eat some good food, and save your mental peace.

Nicotine spikes your dopamine levels temporarily, but the crash that follows severely alters your baseline mood and raises stress levels. I track my sleep quality and heart rate variability (HRV) on my fitness tracker, and stimulant habits like vaping destroy recovery metrics. Quitting is the best thing you can do for your nervous system.

Do not believe those online ads claiming vaping is a 'stress buster' or safer than cigarettes. It contains highly concentrated nicotine which alters brain receptors, leading to severe mood disorders and addiction. Go speak to a certified psychiatrist or addiction specialist to understand the actual damage it causes.

Over the years, I have seen many young boys and girls start vaping to cope with exam pressure, only to end up with chronic anxiety. Nicotine addiction actually worsens the mental health issues you are trying to escape. If you are struggling, talk to your family and seek professional therapy early.

Vaping ruins your focus and productivity because your brain is constantly waiting for the next nicotine hit. The mood swings and brain fog make it very hard to manage a demanding work schedule. Cut the habit cold turkey, drink water whenever you get cravings, and you will see your mental clarity return in two weeks.

Vaping gave me such severe chest tightness and panic attacks that I ended up in the emergency room thinking it was a heart issue. The chemical cocktail in those e-liquids can severely mess with your nervous system and heart rate. Please see a medical doctor immediately if you are experiencing severe breathing issues or panic.
