How does the er treat high fever?

My little one had a very high fever last night, 104 tak chala gaya tha. Luckily, it came down with medicines ghar pe. But I was wondering, if we had to go to the ER, what kind of treatment do they actually give for a really high fever?

Haan, if the fever is super high and not coming down, they instantly give IV fluids and paracetamol injections na. They also do cold sponging to bring the temp down fast. Honestly, don't wait at home if it touches 103 or 104, just run to the ER.

They basically treat you like a laptop that has overheated. They put cooling pads, inject some magic paracetamol juice through the IV, and keep checking your screen—well, the monitor. You'll be back to normal and craving hospital soup in no time, don't worry!

When my son had a 104 fever last year, we rushed him to the casualty ward. They immediately started an IV drip for hydration and gave medicine directly into the vein to break the fever. They also run quick blood tests to find the cause, so be prepared to wait a couple of hours for results.

Hamare yahan hospital mein pehle thanda pani ki patti rakhte hain sir pe. Doctor saab turant sui lagate hain bukhar kam karne ke liye aur glucose chadhate hain takat ke liye. Parivar wale ghabraye nahi, wahan daktar babu sab sambhal lete hain.

Honestly, my brain is fried from staying up all night with my cousin's fever, but the ER folks were like machines. They just popped in an IV, slapped some cold wet towels on his head, and gave him paracetamol. Within an hour, he was half-asleep and the fever finally dropped.

I know how terrifying it feels when the thermometer shows a massive number and you start panicking. But the ER is the safest place to be right now. They will put an IV line to bring it down safely and monitor your vitals, which really helped calm my racing thoughts when I went through this.

They focus on stabilizing you first. Along with reducing the fever, they will monitor your BP and heart rate because high fever can stress your system. Once they control the temperature, they always advise a proper follow-up checkup with your regular physician to trace the root infection.
