How does tb affect the lungs?

TB is known mostly as a lung infection, but I'm not clear on the specifics. My grandmother had it years ago, and her breathing was badly affected. How does tuberculosis specifically affect our lungs?

From what I have learned, TB bacteria create small nodules or cavities in the lung tissue, which causes that severe, ongoing cough. I don't know the exact medical details, but please support anyone going through this as the body needs immense rest to heal.

My uncle's TB cough sounded like a diesel engine starting at 2 AM, keeping the entire neighborhood awake. It literally leaves your lungs feeling like they have run a marathon while you are just lying down trying to sleep.

Haan yaar, lung TB mein toh halat kharab ho jaati hai, lagatar khansi aur sath mein chest pain hone lagta hai na. Standard ilaaj toh chalega hi, bas thoda saaf-safai aur dhoop ka dhyan rakho ghar pe.

Lung TB causes breathing issues and severe weakness. Along with governmental DOTS medicines, make sure the patient's room is well-ventilated and they practice deep breathing exercises slowly once the doctor permits.

Just like keeping track of thyroid levels is crucial, you must get regular sputum tests and chest X-rays to monitor how your lungs are recovering from TB. Continuous follow-ups with your pulmonologist are the only way to be safe.

To help the lungs heal from TB damage, eating a nutrient-rich vegetarian diet is key. Include high-protein foods like paneer, dal, and turmeric milk to build immunity and help the lung tissues recover faster.

Pulmonary TB damages the lung parenchyma, leading to hemoptysis, which is coughing up blood. It is a serious infection that requires immediate, aggressive antibiotic treatment, not basic home care.

When lung TB strikes, the constant coughing and breathing strain can actually spike your blood pressure. Keep monitoring both your lung health and your vitals regularly under a doctor's supervision.

Drinking warm tulsi and ginger water can ease the heavy congestion in the chest. However, please remember that lung TB is a major illness and you must take proper hospital medicines to cure it completely.

Lung TB drastically reduces your VO2 max and oxygen saturation levels. Using a simple pulse oximeter daily helps you track if your lungs are getting enough oxygen back as the treatment progresses.
