How does standardized testing affect students mental health?

My son is in a competitive school, and the pressure of standardized tests seems to be increasing every year. Really worried about the impact it has on his stress levels. How does all this testing truly affect a student's mental health?

It actually creates insane pressure on kids, yaar. The constant ranking system makes them feel their entire future depends on a single 3-hour exam, which is so bad for their self-esteem.

In our time it was Board exams, now it is multiple entrance tests, but the stress remains the same! My kids get so anxious that even their digestion gets messed up before exams. We are raising a generation of highly stressed young minds.

At our family clinic, the doctor often notes a surge in teenage patients with severe anxiety and sleep issues during exam seasons. If your child is showing signs of panic or extreme isolation, please consult a professional counselor immediately rather than ignoring it.

It leads to extreme anxiety, sleep deprivation, and depression in young students. The system seriously needs to prioritize student well-being over marks.

Standardized tests mean staying up till 4 AM drinking black coffee and crying over mock scores. Honestly, my sleep cycle has been completely destroyed since high school because of this endless pressure.

Stress from these competitive exams triggers high cortisol levels, which can mess up a teenager's metabolic health early on. Parents should ensure kids eat healthy meals and don't skip food or sleep due to study pressure.

I completely understand how suffocating it feels because I went through severe panic attacks during my college entrance prep. Please know that your marks do not define your worth as a person, and your mental peace is far more important than any test score.
