How does someone get diabetes?

My doctor told me I need to watch my diet because my blood sugar is borderline. I'm trying to understand how people actually develop diabetes, especially Type 2. Is it mostly about diet and lifestyle, or are there other factors involved?

Diabetes develops when your body either stops making enough insulin or can't use it properly, leading to high sugar in the blood. It is a mix of genetics and a sedentary lifestyle. Keep an eye on sudden weight loss or feeling excessively thirsty, and get a simple HbA1c test done.

Look, if there is a history of diabetes in your family and you live on junk food without any physical exercise, you are inviting it. It is as simple as that. Change your lifestyle now before you have to rely on lifelong medicines.

It usually comes from years of stress and irregular food habits catching up with the body. I find that drinking methi water in the morning and reducing white rice helps manage sugar levels. But please remember, home remedies are only to support your health, not a complete cure.

Eating a balanced diet with plenty of fiber and walk daily is the natural way to prevent insulin resistance. However, if you are constantly feeling fatigued or have non-healing wounds, please consult a doctor immediately. You need proper medical guidance for serious symptoms.

I kept ignoring my extreme tiredness and dry mouth for months, thinking it was just work stress, until my sugar levels crossed 300. Don't make the same mistake I did. Go get a routine fasting blood sugar test done today; it takes just a minute.

My father got diagnosed with diabetes last year, and we realized how much daily mental stress contributes to it along with diet. We now go for family walks every evening and have switched to millets. Making small lifestyle changes together makes it so much easier.
