How does someone become a diabetes?

My mother has diabetes, and now my doctor is saying my sugar levels are a bit high. I'm really confused about how this condition starts. What are the main things that make someone 'become a diabetes', especially if it runs in the family?

Diabetes often develops when the body loses its natural balance due to prolonged stress, lack of movement, or improper eating habits. Please focus on mindful breathing, walking daily, and keeping your mind calm. Take care of yourself beautifully.

It usually happens due to genetic factors combined with lifestyle stress over time. Don't worry too much, it is a very manageable condition once you make small daily changes.

It is mainly a mix of genetics and daily lifestyle habits. You should definitely get your fasting blood sugar checked once to be sure.

It develops when the pancreas cannot produce enough insulin, or the body can't use it properly. If you are experiencing frequent urination, extreme thirst, or unexplained weight loss, please go to a lab and get an HbA1c test done immediately.

People online will tell you that eating too much sugar causes diabetes, but it is much more complex involving insulin resistance and family history. Don't rely on random WhatsApp forwards or bitter gourd remedies. Consult a qualified diabetologist and get your blood panel checked.
