How does skin cancer look?

I noticed a strange new spot on my arm recently, and it's making me a bit nervous. I just want to know what typical skin cancer signs look like. Are there specific colours, shapes, or textures I should be aware of?

In my case, it just looked like a small, dry, scaly patch on my forehead that would peel off and return. I ignored it until it started bleeding and grew into a larger ulcer that required a complex skin graft. Please don't assume a spot is harmless just because it doesn't hurt; have any unusual growth evaluated by a doctor.

It doesn't look the same on everyone, you know. Sometimes it is just a pearly or waxy bump, a firm red nodule, or a mole that starts bleeding and changing its shape and color. Just remember the ABCDE rule: look for Asymmetry, irregular Borders, Color changes, large Diameter, and Evolving shape. If you see any of these, get it checked.

Hey, take a deep breath and don't panic. Skin cancer can look like a shiny pink bump, a rough scaly patch, or an irregular dark mole. Just because you have a new mark doesn't mean the worst, but it is always better to let a professional look at it. We will get it checked together, okay?

Haan, yeh alag-alag tarah ka dikhta hai, jaise koi normal mole jo dheere-dheere bada ho raha ho ya fir koi pinkish bump jo thik na ho raha ho. Sometimes it even looks like a dark brown patch under your nails, na. Agar koi bhi aisi cheez dikhe jo achanak badal rahi hai, toh turant doctor ko dikhao.

It can look like a pearl-like nodule, a dark irregular spot, or basically any weird patch that refuses to leave your skin. At my age, half my skin looks like a map of the world anyway with all the spots, but if one of them starts growing its own borders, that is when you run to the doctor. Don't wait for it to start talking to you!

Last year I noticed a weird, dark, rough spot on my shoulder and spent three sleepless nights crying, thinking it was melanoma. When I finally went to the dermatologist, it turned out to be a completely harmless seborrheic keratosis. It can look like a raised bump or a discolored mole, but please don't jump to conclusions before a biopsy.
