How does psoriatic arthritis begin?

Having had psoriasis for a few years now, I've lately been feeling some joint stiffness. I'm worried about psoriatic arthritis. How does psoriatic arthritis typically begin, and what are the initial symptoms one should look out for?

For most of us, it starts with morning stiffness in the joints that lasts more than 30 minutes. A realistic tip is to watch out for 'sausage digits' where an entire finger or toe swells up. Don't ignore these joint pains if you already have skin psoriasis.

Haan na, it begins very silently with mild pain in the heels or lower back. People think it is just fatigue from daily work, but slowly the joint swelling starts, ho na. If you have skin psoriasis, you must be very alert about any joint stiffness.

It starts like your joints have decided to go on a strike, making you feel like a creaky wooden door in the morning! It can be painful, but getting the right treatment keeps the rust away. No need to panic, just get those hinges checked!

I totally get it, realizing that your skin condition might now be affecting your joints is so scary. It often starts with a general feeling of fatigue and mild throbbing in the fingers. Take deep breaths, we are all here to support you.

My rheumatologist explained that it begins when the immune system starts attacking the entheses, which are the points where tendons attach to bones. This leads to Achilles tendon pain or plantar fasciitis before visible joint swelling even appears.
