How does prostate cancer kill you in the end?

My uncle was recently diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer, and our family is quite worried. I want to understand what the later stages of this disease are like. What typically happens as prostate cancer progresses to its final stages?

Look, we must face reality. In the advanced stages, it spreads to the bones and major organs like the liver or lungs, leading to organ failure. It is tough to hear, but palliative care and regular doctors can manage the pain very well to keep the patient comfortable.

When cancer spreads, it weakens the body's immune system and causes severe fatigue. If the patient is undergoing treatment, keeping up with very light walks inside the house can help maintain muscle strength and mental peace, as long as the oncologist permits it.

In terminal stages, the patient's appetite drops significantly as the body struggles. Offering soft, easily digestible vegetarian meals or warm soups can provide comfort, but please consult their medical team to manage nutrition without causing discomfort.

My grandfather went through this, and in the end, it was the cancer spreading to his bones that made him very weak, eventually leading to kidney failure. It is heartbreaking, but staying close to them and ensuring they are pain-free is the most important thing we can do.

Any progression of prostate cancer needs continuous monitoring via PSA tests and scans. If a patient is showing signs of severe bone pain, extreme fatigue, or blood in the urine, please get them checked by their doctor immediately to manage complications.

The end-stage complications usually happen when metastatic cancer disrupts normal bodily functions and nutrition absorption. Proper dietary support and gentle mobility exercises can sometimes help with the quality of life, but medical intervention is the primary support system here.

In late-stage prostate cancer, bone metastasis and urinary blockages lead to systemic infections or kidney failure. Don't waste time looking for miracle cures online; focus on setting up a strong pain management and hospice plan with an oncologist.
