How does pcos work?

My gynaecologist mentioned I might have PCOS, and I'm still trying to get my head around what it actually is. It sounds complicated, and I'm a bit confused. Can someone simplify how PCOS works in the body and what it really means?

My doctor explained that PCOS is primarily an endocrine disorder, not just a gynecological one. The ovaries produce slightly higher levels of male hormones (androgens), which prevents eggs from maturing properly and results in multiple fluid-filled sacs or cysts.

It affects your hormone levels and insulin, leading to irregular periods and weight gain. If you suspect you have it, plan your budget for an ultrasound and a hormone blood panel. It costs around 2000-3000 rupees in most labs.

My daughter was diagnosed with this last year. It works by causing a hormonal imbalance that delays her cycles and causes acne. We manage it by preparing healthy, home-cooked meals and keeping her stress levels low during her studies.

Haan, basically hormones balance se bahar chale jaate hain, na. The ovaries don't release eggs regularly, which causes irregular periods, facial hair, and weight issues. It's best to consult a good gynecologist to manage it.

Hey, don't stress too much about the name. It just means your hormones are a bit out of sync, causing irregular periods and skin issues. It is super common and completely manageable with some easy lifestyle tweaks and a doctor's guidance.

From what my wife's doctor told us, it's basically a hormonal circus. The ovaries decide to produce excess androgens, leading to irregular periods and metabolic issues. It makes the body play on difficult mode, but it is manageable!

It is a metabolic and hormonal condition. The pituitary gland releases abnormal levels of luteinizing hormone, disrupting the ovulation cycle. Focus on lowering insulin resistance with medication if your doctor prescribes it, and keep active.

PCOS is basically your hormones deciding to throw a chaotic party without your permission. It makes your body resistant to insulin, messes with your sleep, and causes crazy mood swings. A cup of chamomile tea and a good doctor are my only saviors.

Beta, PCOS is very common now. Due to lifestyle and stress, insulin levels rise, which triggers the ovaries to produce more male hormones. This stops your normal monthly cycle. Don't worry, proper diet and doctor's advice will set it right.

It works by disrupting your monthly cycles due to high insulin and hormonal imbalance. Drinking spearmint tea daily can help reduce excess male hormones naturally, but you must visit a doctor if your periods are highly irregular.
