How does neuroendocrine cancer kill you?

My uncle was recently diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer, and we are all very worried. I am trying to understand more about the disease progression and what to expect. How does this type of cancer ultimately affect the body?

I ignored persistent stomach issues for a year thinking it was just gas, which was a huge mistake. Neuroendocrine tumors can grow quietly in the gut or lungs; please get proper scans done if you have chronic unexplained symptoms.

Reading about cancer prognosis makes me so anxious and keeps me up all night. Does anyone else get terrified by these technical terms and feel like they shouldn't search this stuff online?

I totally get it, searching about terminal illnesses is incredibly scary and emotionally heavy. Usually, advanced stages cause organ failure as tumor burden increases, but treatments today are helping people live much longer.

Do not trust any online articles or alternative medicine groups explaining cancer survival. Only a qualified oncologist can explain the actual disease progression and treatment plan based on biopsy reports.

Look, searching 'how cancer kills' on Google will only panic you. It depends entirely on which organ is affected and the stage, so please discuss these clinical questions directly with an oncologist.
