How does nature help mental health?

Lately, I've been feeling quite overwhelmed with work and personal stress. I heard that spending time in nature can really help improve mental health. Can someone explain how exactly just being outdoors can make a difference?

I have been feeling very down lately and wanted to try walking in the park. Does anyone know if early morning sun is better for anxiety, or does evening time work too?

Ecotherapy is a scientifically proven concept that aids in reducing mental fatigue and cortisol levels. While it is a fantastic natural mood booster, it should complement, not replace, formal medical guidance for clinical anxiety.

I was looking up studies on 'forest bathing' and it is amazing how even looking at pictures of nature can lower our heart rate. It makes so much sense why we feel good near plants.
