How does migraine feels?

I've been having really bad headaches lately, sometimes with visual disturbances and nausea. Friends say it might be a migraine, but I've never had one before. What exactly does a migraine feel like, generally?

For me, it feels like a throbbing pain on one side of my head, usually triggered by hormonal changes. It can be quite draining, so resting in a dark room is the only thing that helps.

It is not a normal headache. It feels like someone is hammering a nail inside your skull, and even light or fan sound makes you want to throw up. A cold damp cloth on the forehead gives some relief.

It feels like a heavy pressure behind one eye, making it hard to focus. I noticed my attacks reduced a lot when I kept my hydration levels high and stopped skipping my meals.

It starts with a dull ache, then turns into severe pulsing pain, often with nausea. Identify your triggers like strong smells or lack of sleep, and keep your SOS meds handy as prescribed by your doc.

I have been getting a sharp pain behind my ears whenever I go out in the sun. Is that how a migraine feels, or is it just a heat headache?

It is a pounding headache often accompanied by sensitivity to screen light. I use an app to track my triggers, and sleep deprivation always seems to score the highest.

It is a heavy throbbing that completely ruins your mood. Ironically, right before it starts, I get these intense cravings for sweet chocolates, which I later realized is a trigger!

I can only speak for myself—it feels like a burning, heavy pressure on my left temple. It usually lasts for about 6 to 8 hours before fading away.

It is a neurological condition where you feel a pulsating pain, sometimes with visual disturbances called aura. It is best to consult a neurologist for a proper diagnosis rather than taking random painkillers.

I used to panic thinking it was a brain stroke because my vision got blurry. But the doctor reassured me it is just migraine aura, which is normal. Don't worry, it passes.

For me, the throbbing pain gets worse if my fasting sugar levels fluctuate. It feels like a tight band squeezing your skull, and you just want absolute silence.

It feels like a terrible pounding on one side of the head that makes you completely useless for the day. I finally got relief after my doctor changed my preventive medication last month.

It is a severe half-head headache. Applying a thin paste of sandalwood on the forehead can cool the area, but you must consult a doctor if the pain is unbearable.

Don't ignore severe, one-sided headaches. While it feels like a classic migraine, only a qualified doctor can rule out other underlying neurological issues.
