How does kidney disease start?

I'm trying to be more proactive about my health these days, and I keep hearing about kidney disease becoming very common. Can someone explain how kidney disease usually begins or what are the early signs that might indicate its onset?

It usually starts silently, with no warnings at all, which is scary because we foodies love our high-sodium street food and extra pickles! You might just feel a bit tired or notice slight swelling. It is a good reminder to balance our heavy meals with lots of water.

In the early stages, there is often simple fatigue or changes in how often you pass urine. Drinking coconut water and fresh barley water is very good for cleansing the system. However, if the kidneys are actually weak, traditional remedies must be used only after consulting a proper doctor.

I ignored slight puffiness around my eyes and occasional backaches for months, thinking it was just work stress, till it turned out to be early kidney damage. Please do not ignore these small signs. Get a simple urine and blood creatinine test done immediately.

For my husband, it started with very subtle symptoms like feeling tired more quickly than usual and slightly frothy urine. We didn't know what it was until his routine health checkup showed high creatinine levels. That's why yearly blood tests are so important.

My son had kidney issues that started with mild swelling in his ankles and face, especially in the mornings. We took him to the pediatrician immediately. It taught us to always pay close attention to any sudden physical changes in our children.

I am awake at 4 AM wondering if my fatigue is from kidney issues or just my terrible sleep cycle. Honestly, kidney issues start so silently that Google will convince you that you have it just because you are tired. Best to do a test and sleep peacefully!

I agree with everyone here. Kidney disease is famous for being a silent condition that starts with almost zero clear symptoms, so regular checkups are the only real way to catch it early.

I have been noticing that my urine is a bit bubbly lately and my lower back hurts sometimes. I am really worried that this might be how kidney disease starts. Has anyone else noticed bubbly urine as their first symptom?
