How does it feel when u have kidney stones?

My uncle recently suffered from kidney stones, and he described the pain as absolutely unbearable. I've been having some mild, intermittent back pain lately, and it's made me a bit worried. Can anyone who has experienced them describe what it actually feels like to have kidney stones?

It feels like a sharp, agonizing pinch in your lower back that travels to your lower abdomen. To prevent this, drink plenty of water and limit foods high in oxalates, like spinach and tomatoes. But please get a proper diagnosis before changing your diet too drastically.

Oh, it is definitely not a pleasant feeling! It feels like a sudden, intense stabbing pain that makes it hard to sit or stand still. Drinking lots of lemon water can sometimes help flush small ones out, but do keep your doctor in the loop! 🍋

Consult a urologist

The pain is typically described as a sharp, cramping pain in the back and side, which can also cause nausea or painful urination. Because the symptoms can mimic other serious issues, getting an ultrasound and consulting a urologist is the safest approach.

Having chronic health issues taught me that we shouldn't guess our symptoms. Kidney stone pain can be very sudden and severe, often radiating to the groin. Get a proper renal function test and ultrasound done, and follow up regularly with your doctor.

Bhai, it feels like someone is stabbing you from inside with a knife. The pain can make even strong people cry. If you are also having fever or blood in your urine, don't wait at home, go straight to the hospital.
