How does hepatitis b spread?

There was a small awareness campaign about Hepatitis B in our area, and it made me think about how contagious it might be. How exactly does Hepatitis B spread from one person to another? What are the main ways to get it?

Hepatitis B spreads through contact with infected blood and body fluids. We must stay aware and protect our bodies as they are a temple, but do not hold any stigma against those who have it. Take care and stay positive.

I always get so nervous at local salons during threading or when my family members get a haircut. Can it spread through unsterilized salon blades? Has anyone else felt anxious about this and started carrying their own kit?

From what I have read while managing my own health issues, it can also pass from an infected mother to her baby during birth. It is always best to screen for it during pregnancy. It is a sensitive topic, so we should always consult doctors for correct screening advice.

Let's be direct: Hepatitis B is highly infectious and spreads via blood, semen, or other bodily fluids. Always make sure your dentist uses sterilized equipment and never share razors or needles. The best defense is simply getting the Hep B vaccine.

As a parent, I made sure my child got the Hepatitis B vaccine right at birth, as it can spread through minor cuts or sharing toothbrushes if someone in the house is infected. It is always better to be practical and complete the full vaccination schedule early.

I totally get it, worrying about catching infections can cause so much anxiety. It is important to know that it doesn't spread by sharing food or hugging. It only spreads through blood-to-blood contact, unsafe needles, or unprotected sexual contact.
