How does heat stroke occur?
Our city gets incredibly hot in the peak summer months, and I'm always concerned for my kids playing outside. I want to make sure they're safe. Can someone explain the process of how heat stroke occurs?

Heat stroke occurs when the body's thermoregulatory system fails due to prolonged exposure to high ambient temperatures. My doctor colleague explained that once the core body temperature crosses 104°F, it can lead to multi-organ dysfunction. Immediate cooling and medical intervention are absolutely critical.
Haan, jab hum dhoop me bohot der bina pani piye kaam karte hain tabhi hota hai na. Body ka temperature control system fail ho jata hai aur pasina aana band ho jata hai. Isliye kehte hain dhoop me nikalte waqt sir dhak kar rakhna chahiye.
Does it happen even if we are indoors but in a very hot and poorly ventilated room? I always get anxious during power cuts in summers because the heat gets so suffocating. I constantly worry about overheating.
My son got severely dehydrated during a school sports day in May and almost had a heat stroke. It occurs when children play in the hot sun without taking water breaks. Now I always pack an extra bottle of glucose water and a cap for him.
Hey, don't stress too much, just keep drinking water and you will be fine. It only happens when your body gets extremely dehydrated in severe heat. Just avoid roaming out in the afternoon sun and enjoy some cold nimbu pani at home!
It is so scary because sometimes you don't even feel the danger until you suddenly feel dizzy and faint. It happens due to high humidity and heat blocking your body's ability to cool off. Please carry an ORS packet with you everywhere during summers, just in case.
It happens when the body gets too hot and cannot sweat to cool down. Drink plenty of water.
