How does heat stroke happen?

My mother always tells me to stay hydrated during summers to avoid heat stroke, but I don't fully understand what happens. How does heat stroke happen in the first place? What triggers it?

Haan na, summer me heavy work karne se body internally bohot garam ho jati hai. When the body cannot cool itself down through sweat, the temperature rises dangerously fast. Always carry an umbrella and water bottle, ho na.

It happens when your body overheats due to prolonged exposure to high temperatures. Please try to avoid going out during peak afternoon hours and keep yourself well hydrated.

Yaar, it actually happens when you spend too much time under the direct sun without drinking water. Your body gets completely dehydrated and its natural cooling system just fails. It is very risky, so always sip on buttermilk or coconut water.

When your body temperature reaches 104°F or higher due to extreme heat, it leads to a stroke. Wearing tight clothes and not drinking water makes it worse. Stay cool, wear loose cotton clothes, and drink lots of juices!

It happens so suddenly when you are working hard outside, you don't even realize your body is failing to cope. The helplessness you feel when your core temperature rises is deeply distressing. Please respect the heat and take frequent breaks in the shade.

It happens when you try to prove you are stronger than the Indian summer sun! Your body basically gives up on sweating and says 'I am out'. Seriously, don't do heavy workouts in the afternoon heat unless you want a free trip to the hospital.
