How does heart rate affect stroke volume?

I'm studying human physiology and trying to wrap my head around cardiovascular mechanics. Could someone please explain how changes in heart rate influence the stroke volume? I'm finding it a bit tricky to grasp the relationship properly.

Normally, as heart rate increases during activity, stroke volume also goes up to pump more blood. But if the heart rate goes too high, the heart doesn't get enough time to fill up with blood, so the stroke volume actually drops. Managing my diabetes has taught me how crucial it is to keep my heart healthy with steady, moderate exercise.

I used to drink various herbal decoctions to try and control my racing pulse, but honestly, these physiological things are best managed by understanding how your body works. When heart rate goes up naturally during light walks, it is good, but chronic high heart rate needs proper medical attention, not just home tips.

If you are experiencing abnormal heart rates or feeling dizzy, please don't try to analyze stroke volume math on your own. It could indicate an underlying cardiac issue. Go to a cardiologist and get an echocardiogram done to see how well your heart is pumping.

This whole relationship between heart rate and stroke volume sounds so complicated. I sometimes feel my heart beating super fast even when sitting, does that mean my stroke volume is dropping? Does anyone else get anxious thinking about their heart statistics?

My thyroid fluctuations used to mess up my heart rate constantly, which directly affected my stamina and cardiac output. If you are noticing persistent changes in your resting pulse, please get your thyroid panel and routine blood tests checked, and follow up regularly with your physician.
