How does esophageal cancer kill you?

My uncle was recently diagnosed with advanced esophageal cancer, and it's been very distressing for our family. I'm trying to understand the disease better, especially how it progresses and ultimately leads to death. It's a difficult question, but I need to understand.

This is a very painful disease where the food pipe gets blocked, and the person cannot even swallow water in the end stages. It makes the body very weak because no food can go inside. May God give strength to anyone dealing with this family trouble.

My uncle had this, and honestly, it gets fatal when the tumor spreads to major organs like the lungs or liver. It also causes severe malnutrition because eating becomes completely impossible without a feeding tube. It is a really tough battle.

In advanced stages, it leads to complications like severe internal bleeding or lung infections from food going into the windpipe. If you are dealing with a diagnosis in the family, please go to a well-equipped oncology hospital. Ask your doctor clearly about palliative care options to reduce their pain.

It is such a heartbreaking topic to discuss. The cancer eventually spreads to vital organs or causes severe weight loss and immune failure because the body can't absorb any nutrition. Sending lots of warmth and support to anyone searching for this.

It usually happens due to severe nutritional failure or when the tumor spreads to other vital organs. It is highly critical and needs immediate medical care.
