How does cannabis help with pain?

My mother has been suffering from chronic pain for years now, and we've tried many things. I keep hearing about cannabis and its potential benefits for pain relief. How exactly does it work to reduce pain, and is it a viable option?

Even if people say it helps with pain, self-medicating with these substances can be very risky and illegal in many places. You must get your pain properly diagnosed by a certified doctor first. It is always safer to use only what a registered medical practitioner prescribes.

Honestly, I have read online that cannabinoids interact with the receptors in our brain to dull the pain signals. But honestly, buying stuff randomly is super sketchy and not safe. Better to consult a proper doc if you are dealing with bad chronic pain.

I am so anxious about trying alternative therapies for my severe back pain because of the side effects. Has anyone here actually used doctor-prescribed CBD or cannabis oils in India? I keep worrying if it is safe or if it causes dependency.

I am quite unfamiliar with how these alternative treatments work, but I have heard they act on the body's internal receptors to soothe pain. Is this treatment actually legally prescribed by doctors in India for chronic issues? I would love to know if anyone has experience with this.

At this point in my life, my knees make more noise than my car, so I get the appeal of anything that promises pain relief. It apparently tells your brain's pain receptors to calm down. But before you go looking for herbs, just visit a certified doctor and get a legal, proper prescription.

I know it is famous for giving people the munchies, but medically, certain compounds in it are supposed to reduce inflammation and quiet down pain pathways. While I prefer solving my minor blues with a hot plate of chole bhature, real chronic pain needs a proper doctor's prescription.
