How do you train yourself to not feel pain?

Been dealing with some chronic back pain lately, and it's really affecting my daily life. I've heard about people who can mentally control pain. Is it actually possible to train yourself to not feel pain, or at least reduce its intensity? Would love to know how.

In the gym, we talk about mind over muscle, but you can't actually train your body to never feel pain. Focus on building strength through proper nutrition, sleeping well, and progressive resistance. If it is injury pain, don't ignore it—rest and recovery are just as important as lifting heavy.

I completely understand what you are going through, and it is so hard when you just want the pain to stop. Trying to block out pain completely can sometimes make it feel heavier emotionally. It is okay to acknowledge it first rather than fighting it so hard, please be gentle with yourself.

It sounds like you are carrying a lot of burden right now. Please don't try to force yourself to be too strong or block the pain. Sometimes talking to someone you trust or a doctor can make the pain feel a bit lighter.

You can't delete pain signals, but you can manage your threshold. I track my heart rate variability and sleep cycles on my smartwatch to see how stress affects my body's pain tolerance. Meditation apps have some great guided sessions for pain management that you could try out.

In a busy work schedule, we often ignore backaches and headaches by popping pills, which is a bad habit. You cannot train your brain to ignore pain permanently without causing long-term damage. Schedule a quick diagnostic test or visit a clinic over the weekend to get it sorted out.

Hey! Pain is a sign that your body is trying to talk to you, so don't shut it out completely! Mind-body techniques like yoga and deep breathing can help you stay calm during discomfort. Take care and stay positive!

Pain is actually our body's way of sending an alarm signal that something needs attention, so training to not feel it isn't very safe. For chronic aches, deep breathing exercises like Pranayama help calm the nervous system. But if the pain is sudden or severe, always consult a professional instead of ignoring it.

Bro, if you are talking about emotional pain, college exams and breakups are already teaching me that, haha! But for real physical pain, you can't just switch it off like a phone. Better to check what is wrong than trying to be a superhero.

Honestly, trying to numb yourself to physical pain can be dangerous because you might miss a serious underlying issue. I always visit a proper multi-specialty hospital when I have persistent pain. You should consult a doctor clearly about your symptoms so they can find the actual root cause.

My grandmother used to say that chanting and light meditation help us bear life's physical discomforts better. However, if this is physical pain, we must not ignore it or try to hide it. It is always best to visit a qualified medical doctor and get a proper diagnosis done.
