How do you test for acidity?

I often get a burning sensation in my chest and a sour taste in my mouth, especially after meals. My friends say it sounds like acidity. Is there any specific test I can do to confirm if I actually have acidity?

I totally get it, the constant burning sensation can make you feel so uneasy and miserable. Doctors usually diagnose it based on your symptoms, but if it is very severe, they might suggest an endoscopy to check the stomach lining.

There's no fancy test needed, my friend! If your chest feels like you swallowed a hot piece of coal after eating spicy biryani, congratulations, you have acidity. Just drink some cold milk and skip the extra green chillies next time.

I ignored my burning chest for a year, thinking it was just normal gas, until it turned into a painful stomach ulcer. Please get a proper consultation and don't just keep popping antacids every day.

Hey, don't stress too much about it! Usually, a doctor will just ask about your eating habits to identify acidity. Just eat your dinners a bit early and you'll be fine.

To check if your digestion is weak, notice if you feel bloated or sourness in your throat after meals. Practicing Sheetali Pranayama daily can cool down the excess heat in your body naturally.
