How do you recognise skin cancer?

My friend recently had a scare with a suspicious mole, and it got me thinking. What are the common signs or changes on the skin that could indicate skin cancer? I want to know what to look out for on myself and my family.

Honestly, I am so tired that I can barely recognize myself in the mirror, let alone a weird mole! But the rule is ABCDE—look for Asymmetry, uneven Borders, weird Color, big Diameter, and if it is Evolving. If you see any of these, just stop googling and go to a dermatologist.

My elders always suggest using sandalwood paste for any skin rashes or spots. However, my doctor strongly advised that if any mole starts changing its shape, size, or color, we must get a proper medical biopsy done rather than relying on home remedies.

Don't start thinking every tiny beauty spot is a sign of danger and panic! Just keep an eye out for any 'ugly duckling' mole that looks totally different from all other moles on your body. A quick visit to a skin doctor will clear all your doubts in two minutes.

I always check my children's skin carefully after our beach holidays. If you notice any rough, scaly patches that don't go away even after applying moisturizing cream, it is best to get it checked by a pediatrician or skin specialist for safety.

It is simple. Any sore that doesn't heal for weeks, or a mole that starts bleeding or itching, needs immediate professional examination. Don't waste time on self-diagnosis; go see a board-certified dermatologist directly.

Bhaiya, agar sharir par koi purana massa ya til achanak badhne lage, ya usme se khoon nikalne lage, toh der mat karo. Turant sheher ke bade doctor ko dikhao. Til ka rang badalna achha nahi hota.

Since diabetics have slower skin healing, we must be extra careful about any new growths. Keep an eye on any patch that changes texture or bleeds. It is always wise to get routine dermatological screenings done during your annual medical checkups.
