How do you measure mental health?

I've been feeling really overwhelmed and low lately, and my friend suggested I might need to pay more attention to my mental health. But how do you even measure mental health? Is there a way to check if it's okay?

It is not like measuring fever with a thermometer, but your feelings and daily peace of mind are the real measure. You are not alone in wondering about this.

When my blood pressure was shooting up, my doctor told me it was because of hidden mental stress. We must track our sleep patterns, daily irritation levels, and physical symptoms like headaches. Regular checkups for physical issues and modifying lifestyle with meditation really help measure and improve your mental state.

I used to feel so lost trying to understand why I was feeling so low every day. Mental health is usually evaluated by therapists using standard questionnaires and by tracking how your mood, sleep, and appetite change over time. It is totally okay to seek help if you feel something is off.

I always go to a reputed hospital for my health issues, and their psychiatry department has proper diagnostic tools for this. Instead of taking online quizzes, it is best to ask a qualified clinical psychologist or doctor clearly about your symptoms. They can assess you accurately.

Hormones like thyroid can completely mess up your mood and make you feel depressed or anxious. It is very important to get your routine blood tests done alongside visiting a mental health professional. Regular follow-ups with your doctor will help you see if it is a physical issue or mental fatigue.
