How do you know if you've had a stroke?

My neighbor had a stroke recently and I've been thinking about it a lot. Sometimes I get these sudden dizzy spells and feel a bit weak on one side. What are the immediate signs that indicate someone might be having a stroke?

I completely understand how terrifying it is to worry about having a stroke, health anxiety can make every little numbness feel like a medical emergency. However, a real stroke has very clear, sudden signs like one side of your face drooping, sudden arm weakness, or slurred speech. If you or anyone experiences this, please don't wait, go to the emergency room immediately.

At my age, my body makes all sorts of weird noises, but a stroke is something you don't take lightly. Remember the FAST rule: face drooping, arm weakness, and speech difficulty. If any of these happen suddenly, stop searching online and get someone to drive you to the hospital right away.

It is super important to know the signs of a stroke so you can act fast! Look out for sudden numbness in the face, arm, or leg, especially on one side of the body, and trouble speaking clearly. If you see this, please call an ambulance immediately.

I sometimes get sudden dizziness or a bit of tingling in my arm when I'm stressed, and it makes me super anxious that it's a stroke. Have any of you felt this kind of panic before? But I know that if it's actual slurred speech or loss of balance, we must go straight to the ER.

Listen, don't mess around with stroke symptoms. If your face feels lopsided, you can't raise both arms, or your words are getting jumbled up, it is a stroke. Get yourself to the nearest hospital emergency room immediately, every minute matters.
