How do you know if you've had a mini stroke?

My blood pressure has been quite high, and sometimes I have these moments where my vision blurs for a minute or two. My friend mentioned 'mini strokes' and now I'm worried. What are the symptoms of a mini stroke?

My elders always said that any sudden weakness in the body should not be ignored. A mini stroke, or TIA, has symptoms like sudden numbness or slurred speech that disappear in a few minutes. Even if the feeling goes back to normal, my doctor strictly advised us to go to the hospital immediately to prevent a major stroke.

While daily garlic and a healthy diet are good for keeping your blood vessels clean, they cannot treat a mini stroke. If you feel sudden weakness on one side of your face or trouble speaking, even for a short time, do not rely on home remedies. Please go to a hospital immediately.

At our age, a sudden dizzy spell might feel like we just stood up too fast, but if your arm goes numb or you slur your words for a bit, it could be a mini stroke. Don't sit and joke about it on WhatsApp. Go to the doctor and get your brain scans done immediately.

I am someone who always tries herbal decoctions first for any small illness, but a mini stroke is a major warning sign. Symptoms like temporary blindness in one eye or weakness in an arm shouldn't be ignored. Please be practical and go see a doctor immediately for a proper checkup.

When my mother had a mini stroke, she suddenly couldn't hold her teacup and her speech became garbled for just ten minutes. We were so scared and anxious, but acting quickly saved her from bigger issues. If you are experiencing this, please know it is scary but getting medical help right away is the best way to stay safe.
