How do you know if a kidney stone is stuck?

I've had kidney stones before, and the pain was unbearable. Lately, I've been having dull aches in my side and some trouble with urination. I'm really worried. How do you know if a kidney stone is stuck and needs urgent attention?

Having dealt with stones twice in my life, I can tell you that when a stone gets stuck, the pain is not continuous but comes in unbearable, sharp waves in your lower back or side. It often makes you feel nauseous and unable to find a comfortable position. Don't worry, modern medicine has very simple ways to resolve this quickly, but go see a doctor soon.

If you suspect a block, don't wait at home trying to drink gallons of water all at once, as that can actually increase the pressure on your kidney. Go to a local diagnostic center, get a basic abdominal ultrasound done for around 800-1000 rupees, and show the report to a general physician immediately.

I completely understand how terrifying this pain can be, and it is totally normal to feel extremely anxious right now. When my stone was stuck, the fear of the pain returning was constant. Please go to a clinic; getting a clear diagnosis from a doctor will put your mind at ease.

If a kidney stone is stuck in the ureter, you will typically feel a sharp pain radiating towards your groin, difficulty passing urine, or even notice a pink/red tint in your pee. This is a clear sign that the flow is blocked. Please get an ultrasound done to see the exact position of the stone.

When I had a blockage, my doctor at the hospital explained that a stuck stone can cause urine build-up and damage the kidney if left untreated. If you have fever, chills, or persistent vomiting along with the pain, go to the emergency room immediately. Let the specialists do a CT scan or ultrasound to guide you properly.

I have been feeling a constant burning while urinating and a dull ache in my right side that won't go away. Did anyone else feel like they had to go to the washroom every 5 minutes when their stone was stuck? I am very scared.
