How do you get thyroid disorder?

My mother and aunt both have thyroid issues, and lately I've been feeling unusually tired and gained some weight. I'm worried I might also develop it. How does one typically get a thyroid disorder, and are there ways to prevent it?

Thyroid issues are very common nowadays because of our changing lifestyles and increased stress. In our days, we used to drink coriander seed water in the morning to keep digestion good, but remember, thyroid needs proper medical attention. You must get your blood tested and take your daily tablet as recommended by the doctor.

Thyroid issues aren't something you can fix with diet charts or magic yoga poses. If you are experiencing sudden weight gain, hair loss, or constant fatigue, go to a lab and get a TSH panel done. If the levels are off, see a doctor and start your thyroid hormone replacement therapy immediately.

I agree that stress and family history are major triggers, so getting a T3, T4, and TSH blood test is the best first step.

Thyroid disorders can stem from autoimmune conditions, genetics, stress, or nutritional deficiencies like iodine imbalance. Since the thyroid gland regulates your entire metabolism, self-medication or home remedies won't cure it. Consult an endocrinologist who can prescribe the exact dosage of thyroxine based on your blood reports.

My mom has had thyroid issues for years, and my doctor said it can sometimes be hereditary. Honestly, it's just about taking that one tiny pill empty stomach every morning and you are good to go, nothing to stress about too much.
