How do you get scarlet fever rash?

My little one has a red, rough-feeling rash, and a relative mentioned it could be something called scarlet fever. I'm worried and trying to understand more about it. What are the typical signs and how does one usually get a scarlet fever rash?

If you suspect scarlet fever, go to a government hospital or a local clinic where throat swab tests and basic antibiotics are very cheap or free. Don't rush to high-end private labs immediately, but do get it tested quickly because leaving a bacterial infection untreated will cost much more later.

My son had a high fever and a red, sandpaper-like rash last year, and I completely panicked thinking it was some dangerous allergy. The doctor calmly explained it is just a reaction to a strep throat infection and completely curable with a simple course of antibiotics. He was perfectly fine in a few days, so please don't lose sleep over it.

I totally get it, seeing a bright red rash cover your child's body is incredibly stressful. It usually starts on the neck and chest and feels like rough sandpaper to the touch. Just focus on keeping them comfortable, and make sure they get a proper doctor's checkup today.

Scarlet fever is a bacterial infection caused by group A strep, and the rash is actually a reaction to the toxin produced by the bacteria. It requires a proper course of antibiotics to clear up and prevent complications, so please don't rely on calamine lotion alone. Get a prescription from a pediatrician.

Haan, throat infection ke baad ye rashes aate hain, skin ekdum sandpaper jaisi rough ho jati hai na. Isme darna nahi chahiye, bas doctor ko dikha ke antibiotic course pura karna zaroori hai takki infection failna band ho.

A simple throat swab test will confirm if it is strep. While the medical treatment is going on, give the patient warm salt water gargles and soft foods that don't hurt the throat. Keep their clothes light and loose so the rash doesn't get irritated.
