How do you contact hepatitis b?

My elder brother recently got diagnosed with Hepatitis B, and we're all a bit concerned at home. How exactly do people contract this virus? I want to understand the risks and make sure our family is safe.

It mostly spreads through infected blood, bodily fluids, or from a mother to her baby during birth. When my child had to get a small procedure, we double-checked that the clinic used brand-new disposable needles. Please make sure your family is fully vaccinated against Hep B, it is the safest way.

My family doc explained that Hepatitis B is highly contagious but only through direct contact with infected blood, semen, or other fluids. You cannot get it from casual contact like hugging, coughing, or sharing food plates. He strongly recommended getting the three-dose vaccine series if you haven't taken it yet.

Bhai, simple words mein bataun toh yeh khoon ke milne se ya asurakshit sambandh banane se phailta hai. Hospital jao toh hamesha naya syringe use karne ko bolo aur barber ke paas naya blade check karo. Chinta mat karo, bas thoda saavdhan raho aur doctor se consult kar lo.

Honestly, half-asleep right now but I remember this clearly from my college hostel days. You don't get it by sharing a cup of chai or shaking hands, so don't panic. It is all about blood-to-blood contact or intimate stuff, so just get the vaccine and sleep peacefully.

I am not an expert, but from what I read during my own health checkups, it transmits through contaminated needles, unsterile tattoo equipment, or unprotected physical intimacy. Since I have PCOS, I always get regular blood tests done, and my doctor suggested checking Hep B status too just to be absolutely sure.
