How do you bring a fever down naturally?

My little one has a mild fever today, and I prefer to try natural methods first if it's not too high. What are some effective ways to bring a fever down naturally at home before considering medicines?

Whenever I get a mild fever, I just do cold sponging on my forehead and neck, which works really well to cool me down. I also drink lots of warm water and coconut water to stay hydrated. This is just what works for me personally at home.

My dear, the best natural way is to rest completely and let the body fight the infection. You can apply clean, damp cotton strips on the forehead and keep the room well-ventilated. Give them light foods like moong dal khichdi and warm vegetable broth to keep up their strength.

Ah, the classic wet cloth on the forehead treatment that every Indian mom loves! It actually works wonders to bring the temp down a bit. Just don't wrap yourself in five blankets like a mummy, let your skin breathe so the heat can escape!

For mild fever, normal water tap sponges actually work best, yaar. Just wipe your arms, forehead, and feet, and drink lots of fluids. But honestly, if the fever is touching 102 or 103, don't sit at home, go see a doc immediately.

Haan na, cold compress is the safest way to soothe the body during a fever. I always drink warm lemongrass tea or ginger tea to feel better. But if the body ache is too much or the fever doesn't drop, we should consult a doctor, right?

Please be very careful with trying to manage a fever naturally for too long. I once tried to treat my high fever with just herbal teas and cold packs, and it turned out to be severe dengue that required immediate hospitalization. If the temperature is very high or lasts more than a day, see a doctor right away.
