How do u know if u have kidney stones?

My aunt recently had kidney stones, and she described the pain as excruciating. I sometimes get sharp pain in my lower back, though not as severe. How can one really tell if they have kidney stones?

If a kidney stone is passing, the pain in your lower back or side can be so agonizing that you won't even be able to stand or walk. You might also feel nauseous and have a burning sensation when you pee. Drink plenty of water to prevent them, but if you have severe symptoms, get a doctor's advice and an ultrasound done.

My elders always suggest drinking tender coconut water and barley water for any urinary discomfort, which is good for hydration. But a kidney stone usually causes a very sharp, severe pain in your lower back or side that radiates to the groin. If you have this intense pain or blood in your urine, please consult a doctor immediately.

You'll definitely know it if you get a sudden, sharp pain in your back or lower belly that makes you want to curl up in a ball! It often comes with nausea and a constant urge to run to the washroom. Keep drinking lots of fluids and visit a doctor to get an ultrasound done!

Trust me, if a kidney stone decides to visit, it will make its presence known with a dramatic back pain that makes you dance without music! You'll also feel like you're peeing fire. Don't worry, they are super common and easily diagnosed with a simple scan, so just go see a doctor.

I always use my fitness tracker to log my daily water intake because dehydration is a major cause of kidney stones. If you get sudden, intense waves of pain in your side and back, or notice cloudy urine, those are classic signs. You can get a quick abdominal ultrasound to confirm the size of the stone.
