How do u know if u have hay fever?

Every spring, I start sneezing non-stop, my nose runs, and my eyes get super itchy. Someone told me it sounds like hay fever. How can I really tell if what I have is hay fever?

My son gets this every year during the pollen season when the flowers bloom. You will see constant sneezing, watery and itchy eyes, and a runny nose without an actual fever. Keep the windows closed during dry mornings and consult a pediatrician or doctor for safe allergy drops.

Hay fever or allergic rhinitis is usually diagnosed through physical symptoms like sneezing and itchy eyes, but an allergy panel test can cost 3,000 to 5,000 rupees. If you are on a tight budget, try identifying your triggers like dust or pollen yourself first. However, a single consultation with a government hospital doctor can get you affordable generic anti-allergy tablets.

If you are sneezing non-stop, have itchy throat and red watery eyes the moment you step outside in dusty weather, it's classic hay fever. It is an allergic reaction, not a viral cold. Just get an appointment with an allergist or ENT specialist to get it sorted out.

I agree with the symptoms mentioned, especially the itchy eyes and sneezing fits. Taking steam inhalation daily helps a lot with the nasal congestion.

I always panic that my sudden sneezing fits and itchy throat are some major viral infection. But if it happens repeatedly in specific seasons or dusty rooms, and you don't have a high body temperature, it's likely just hay fever. Don't stress, but do visit a doctor to get a proper antihistamine prescription.

I suffer from this every spring and my eyes swell up, along with endless sneezing and a blocked nose. I personally found that wearing a mask outdoors and using an air purifier at home reduced my symptoms significantly. I can't advise on medicines, so please consult a doctor for that.
