How do u get hay fever?

Every spring, I start sneezing a lot, and my eyes get watery and itchy. My cousin said it sounds like hay fever, which I've heard about. I'm trying to figure out what causes it, like if it's an allergy to certain plants or dust.

Hay fever is essentially an allergic reaction to pollen, dust mites, or animal dander. While some people swear by over-the-counter antihistamines, it is always best to consult an allergist. They can help you identify your specific triggers rather than guessing.

My doctor told me that hay fever, or allergic rhinitis, happens when our immune system mistakenly treats harmless airborne particles as threats. He explained that during high-pollen seasons or windy days, the particles irritate the nasal lining, causing sneezing and watery eyes. He advised keeping windows shut in the morning when pollen counts are highest.

Actually, the dust and pollution in our cities makes this so much worse, yaar. Whenever the weather changes or construction starts nearby, my nose just doesn't stop running. It is basically our body overreacting to dust particles.

This sensitivity usually happens when the body's internal immunity is weak during seasonal transitions. Steam inhalation with a little mint or carom seeds can help clear the nose naturally. But please do not ignore it if you develop a high fever or chest congestion.

My grandmother always suggests drinking warm turmeric milk to soothe the throat during these allergy attacks. However, I found that visiting an ENT doctor and getting the proper nasal spray was what actually gave me long-term relief from this allergy.

I noticed my seasonal allergies got much better once I improved my gut health and started eating clean, whole foods. When your body is inflamed from bad diet and lack of sleep, it reacts more severely to external allergens like pollen. Keep your fitness up to help your immune system.

It is basically just a dust or pollen allergy that acts up during season changes. You are definitely not alone in dealing with this annoying sneezing.
