How do people get hepatitis?

I've heard about hepatitis quite a bit lately, especially related to liver issues. It sounds serious. Could you please explain the common ways people get hepatitis in general? I just want to be aware.

Actually, hepatitis is just liver inflammation, yaar. You can get it from contaminated water or outside food, which is super common during rains, or even through viruses like Hep B and C which spread differently. Just be careful about where you drink water from, especially at street stalls.

Please don't worry too much. It can happen to anyone through contaminated food or water, or sometimes through infections. Just take plenty of rest, eat simple home-cooked food, and follow what your doctor says. You will recover soon.

Hepatitis has different strains like A, B, C, D, and E, and they all spread differently. When my relative was diagnosed, we went to a hepatologist at Max Hospital who explained everything clearly and did blood tests to identify the exact type. It is best to consult a good specialist who can guide you on the right treatment.

Haan na, during monsoon season we have to be so careful with outside water and food. Hepatitis A and E are mostly waterborne, but the other types are through body fluids, so we should always be alert. Best is to drink boiled water ghar pe and avoid raw salads from outside.

My cousin got Hepatitis A last year, and the doctor said it was likely from drinking contaminated sugarcane juice from a roadside vendor. He had severe jaundice and fatigue for about three weeks but recovered completely with proper rest and a zero-oil diet. It made all of us very cautious about hygiene.
