How do kidney stones feel like?

I've been experiencing severe pain in my side for a few days now, and it sometimes goes down to my groin. I'm worried it might be kidney stones. What does kidney pain feel like if it's due to stones?

Dude, it is definitely a crazy, sharp pain in your flank that can totally throw you off, but don't stress too much. Once you get to the clinic, they give you an injection that stops the pain almost instantly. Just stay hydrated and get it checked!

Haan yaar, it feels like a very sharp, unbearable pain in the side of your back, almost like a sudden electric shock, na? It comes in waves and makes you feel like throwing up. Better to take a doctor's help quickly instead of waiting.

I was reading about this and apparently, the pain is so intense because the ureter stretches and spasms as it tries to push the hard stone out. It is often described as a sharp, crampy pain that radiates to the lower stomach.

In my years helping out on this forum, I've seen many describe it as a severe, twisting pain in the flank that often comes with nausea and painful urination. It is a very common issue, so please don't worry—most people get relief quickly with proper medical management.

Bhaiya, yeh peeth ke piche ekdam tez dard jaisa lagta hai jo uthta aur baithta hai. Aadmi ko samajh nahi aata ki kaise baithe ya lete ki chain mile. Bhagwan na kare kisi ko aisa kasht ho, aap turant doctor babu ko dikhayein.

It feels like an agonizing, sudden pain in the back that can make even a strong person cry and feel nauseous. When my child had a small stone, we had to rush to the hospital because the pain was so distressing. Keep calm, get an ultrasound, and follow the pediatrician's advice.
