How do i stop migraine headaches?

Terrible migraine headaches have been disrupting my work and social life for years; the pain is so intense, along with light sensitivity. What are some effective ways to stop them once they start, or even prevent them from coming on so frequently?

Please do not just keep popping painkillers like I did for years, which eventually messed up my stomach. Migraine is a proper neurological condition. Go to a neurologist and get a customized preventative medication plan before it gets worse.

Migraine triggers vary wildly from person to person, ranging from bright lights and stress to certain foods. While keeping a trigger journal and sleeping in a dark, quiet room helps, consulting a physician for proper triptans or preventive treatment is the most effective approach.

If a migraine hits, immediately cut off all screen time, drink a big glass of water, and apply an ice pack to the back of your neck. But honestly, lifestyle changes alone won't cure severe attacks. Go see a doctor and get a proper prescription.

Visiting big private clinics for migraine treatments can be very costly. I suggest tracking your daily triggers like tea, coffee, or screen time first to see if you can manage it naturally. If you need a specialist, try a government hospital OPD where consultation and basic medicines are free.

I know how painful and exhausting migraine attacks can be. Try to maintain a strict sleep schedule, as sleeping at different times is a major trigger. Take a warm shower, rest in a cool dark room, and let your body heal quietly.

Haan yaar, migraine ka dard toh dushmani ko bhi na mile, bahut bura hota hai. Try to avoid strong smells and direct sunlight when going out, na. And please check with a doc, self-medication se situation aur kharab ho jaati hai.

I was researching this and read that dehydration and low blood sugar are massive triggers for migraines. It is interesting how simple things like missing a meal can cause such a massive headache. Has anyone actually found relief by cutting out dairy or caffeine?
