How do i know if my headache is a migraine?

For the past few months, I've been getting these really severe headaches that sometimes come with extreme sensitivity to light and even nausea. They are not like my usual headaches, and I have to lie down in a dark room. Could these be migraines?

In our times, we used to apply a little warm ginger paste or drink warm milk with a pinch of nutmeg to soothe a heavy head. However, if your headache is severe, lasts for days, and makes you nauseous, it could be a migraine. You must show it to a proper doctor for correct guidance.

Look, a normal headache goes away with a cup of tea or some rest, but a migraine will make you want to sit in a dark, quiet room. It usually affects only one side of your face and comes with a pulsing feeling and sensitivity to sound. Don't keep popping painkillers like candy, go see a neurologist.

As a diabetic, I have to be very careful with head pain, as sudden headaches can sometimes be related to low blood sugar levels. A migraine, however, is usually a severe throbbing pain on one side of the head, often accompanied by nausea and light sensitivity. Please check your blood sugar first, and consult a doctor to diagnose if it is actually migraine.

Hey, don't worry, migraines are very common and highly manageable. If your headache is accompanied by seeing flashing lights or feeling dizzy, it's a typical migraine aura. Just rest in a quiet room, avoid using your phone, and let's get you checked by a general physician tomorrow.

A migraine headache is typically distinguished by its moderate to severe throbbing pain, usually on one side of the head, and can last anywhere from 4 to 72 hours. You might also experience sensory disturbances like aura or extreme sensitivity to smells. Keeping a headache diary and consulting a neurologist is the best way forward.

Before you spend thousands on expensive brain scans, go to a general physician for a basic consultation, as they can diagnose migraine just by studying your symptoms. If it's a one-sided, pulsing headache with nausea, they can prescribe affordable preventive medications. This will save you both money and unnecessary worry.

I suffered from severe migraines for twenty years before I learned to manage my triggers. If your headache is a throbbing pain that gets worse when you move around, and makes you sensitive to bright lights, it is most likely a migraine. Don't worry, with proper medical guidance and a calm lifestyle, it gets much better.
