How do i know if i have thyroid issues?

Feeling unusually tired and gaining weight lately, even with a consistent diet, has me concerned. My hair fall has also increased quite a bit, and my bhabhi suggested I might have a thyroid issue. How do I even begin to check for this?

Agar bina baat ke weight badh raha hai, ya hamesha thakan rehti hai, toh thoda dhyaan do na. Sometimes hair fall also becomes very bad due to thyroid. Simple blood test hota hai thyroid profile ka, ek baar kisi achhe lab se karwa lo toh clear ho jayega.

I used to blame my laziness and bloating on age, but my wife forced me to get checked and it was thyroid! If you feel like a slow-running battery even after sleeping for 9 hours, it's time to get a blood test. Don't worry, managing it is just one tiny pill in the morning.

I have been feeling extremely cold even when it is warm outside, and my periods are also getting very irregular lately. Did anyone else experience these exact symptoms before they got diagnosed with thyroid? I am planning to see a doctor this weekend.

I completely understand how stressful it is when your body feels off and you don't know why. I used to panic thinking it was something much worse when I had extreme fatigue and brain fog. Once I got my thyroid levels checked and consulted a doctor, things became so much easier to manage.

Unexplained weight changes and constant fatigue are classic signs. Just get a T3, T4, and TSH blood test done to know for sure.

Please do not self-diagnose based on symptoms because thyroid issues can mimic many other conditions. Go to a good multi-specialty hospital and consult a general physician or endocrinologist. They will prescribe the exact blood panel and explain the results clearly to you.

Having had hypothyroidism for 5 years, I can tell you that symptoms like dry skin, hair loss, and mood swings are very common. The only way to find out is a simple TSH test. Please get tested and follow up regularly with an endocrinologist because dosage needs monitoring.

My mother suggested drinking coriander seed water for my swelling and fatigue, which is a good traditional remedy. However, for thyroid, we must trust scientific tests. I went to our family doctor, got the blood work done, and started the proper treatment as advised.
