How do i know if i have kidney pain?

Since last week, I've had this persistent dull ache on my side, just above my lower back. It feels different from regular muscle pain, and sometimes I feel a bit uncomfortable while peeing. Could this be kidney pain, or just a strain?

My grandmother used to say that any pain near the lower back is because of heat and told me to drink tender coconut. But honestly, kidney pain is very deep and usually on one side under your ribs. Please don't rely only on home remedies, better to consult a doctor and get an ultrasound done.

A lot of times we gym guys mistake heavy deadlift muscle soreness for kidney pain because the area is almost the same. But if it is a constant dull ache that doesn't change when you stretch or move, and your water intake is low, it could be your kidneys. Keep yourself hydrated and get a routine urine test done just to be safe.

Make sure you are not taking too much high-protein diet or raw spinach without drinking enough water, as it can strain the system. Kidney pain usually feels like a sharp, throbbing ache high up in your back, not the lower spine. Don't change your diet suddenly now, check with a dietitian or doctor first.

Please don't search symptoms online and start drinking random herbal juices or kadhas thinking it will cure kidney pain. Half the websites will tell you it's a simple spasm and others will say it's kidney failure. Just go to a proper urologist or physician and get a renal function test done.

I had a kidney stone last year and the pain was absolutely unbearable, coming in waves from my back to my lower stomach. If you feel nauseous and have a burning sensation while peeing along with that backache, it is definitely a kidney issue. Don't wait at home, get a sonography done immediately to catch it early.

Bro, I had this same scare last month during exams because I was literally living on energy drinks and zero water. The pain is usually way higher up your back than normal backaches and it doesn't go away even if you lie down. Just start drinking water like crazy and see a doc if it still hurts.

I also have a mild ache on my right side near the back for two days, and I am a bit scared. Does kidney pain also cause fever or make you feel very tired? If anyone knows how to tell the difference between normal gas and this, please tell me.
