How do i know if i have hay fever?

Every spring, I get itchy eyes, a runny nose, and I sneeze a lot. My friends say it sounds like hay fever. Is this what people mean by hay fever? How do I know if I actually have hay fever, or if it's just a regular cold that keeps coming back?

If you have constant sneezing and watery, itchy eyes every time the weather changes, it is likely hay fever.

Hay fever, or allergic rhinitis, usually presents with continuous sneezing, itchy eyes, and a runny nose without an actual high body temperature. My doctor explained that it is triggered by pollen or dust, unlike a viral cold. He advised getting an allergy panel test done to identify the exact triggers.

I love eating spicy pani puri on the street, but during spring, my allergies make me sneeze so much that I can't even enjoy my food! If your nose runs constantly but you don't have body aches like a regular flu, it is probably hay fever. Try hot ginger tea to soothe your throat.

Waking up with itchy eyes and sneezing ten times in a row is just the perfect start to a busy day, right? If you don't have a fever but feel like your head is stuffed with cotton, it is probably allergies. Go see a doctor and grab some anti-allergy pills.

When the crops are harvested, the dust makes many people in our village sneeze and get red eyes. We call it seasonal allergy, and drinking warm turmeric milk helps soothe the throat. If your nose doesn't stop running, go to the local clinic for a quick checkup.

If your symptoms are seasonal and include itchy, watery eyes with no body pain, it is classic hay fever. Don't waste time guessing. Go see an allergist or a general physician to get a proper prescription for non-drowsy antihistamines.

I totally panicked last year thinking I had a major respiratory infection because of my constant sneezing and runny nose. But my doctor reassured me it was just a seasonal pollen allergy. Once I started taking basic precautions, it became very manageable, so don't worry too much.
