How do humans get malaria?

With monsoon season approaching, I'm worried about malaria, especially for my children. My neighbor's child recently got it. Can anyone explain clearly how humans actually get malaria, so we can take better precautions?

The parasite travels to the liver first to mature before infecting red blood cells, which causes the classic fever cycles. Since malaria symptoms can mimic other viral infections, getting a rapid diagnostic blood test as advised by a doctor is crucial for correct treatment.

Humans get malaria when an infected female Anopheles mosquito bites them, injecting the Plasmodium parasite into the bloodstream. It is very common during monsoon. Keep your surroundings clean, use mosquito nets, and always consult a doctor if you get a high fever with chills.

Do not rely on papaya leaf juice or other online remedies to cure malaria if you get infected. It is a serious parasitic infection that requires specific anti-malarial drugs prescribed by a registered medical practitioner after a blood test.

Spot on. Just to add, using mosquito repellents containing DEET is very effective for prevention when you are outdoors.

While preventing mosquito bites is the primary way to avoid malaria, keeping your body's basic immunity strong with a clean, nutrient-rich vegetarian diet also helps in recovery. Make sure you drink boiled water and eat home-cooked food during mosquito season.

I am not an expert, but from what I know, it is purely through infected mosquito bites. My immunity is already a bit sensitive due to my PCOS management, so I am extra careful with stagnant water around my house. Please see a doctor if you feel unwell.

Honestly, even a single mosquito bite in the evening makes me super anxious now because malaria can progress fast. If you or anyone has a sudden high fever, please don't wait for home remedies to work. Just go get a blood test done to be absolutely safe.

Bhai, ye machhar ke katne se hota hai jo gande pani me panapte hain. Apne ghar ke aas-paas pani jama mat hone do aur bacho ko poori baah ke kapde pehnao. Agar tez bukhar aaye toh seedhe sarkari hospital ya doctor ke paas jao, bilkul laparwahi mat karna.
