How common is sepsis with kidney stones?

My neighbour was telling me about his kidney stone issue and how it got really bad, almost turning into sepsis. I have kidney stones too, so it got me wondering if sepsis is a very common complication with them or just a rare thing.

Listen to me, don't get scared reading extreme things online. While sepsis from a kidney stone is a serious medical emergency, it is actually quite rare and usually only happens if a stone completely blocks urine flow and causes a severe infection. Just stay alert to symptoms like high fever or severe pain, and we will get it sorted out.

Don't panic! Sepsis is definitely not something that happens with every kidney stone. It only occurs in rare cases when an infection is left untreated. Just stay hydrated and follow your doctor's advice carefully!

Sepsis is an extremely dangerous condition, so even if the risk is low, you cannot take any chances. If you have kidney stones and start experiencing high fever, chills, or sudden dizziness, go to the emergency room immediately. Please get it checked by a professional right away.

My son had a kidney stone blockage once, and the doctors kept a very close watch on his temperature to avoid any risk of infection. Sepsis is rare, but as a parent, I know how scary it is. Just keep track of any fever and make sure they drink plenty of water as advised.

Since I have thyroid issues, I have learned the hard way that regular follow-ups are necessary to avoid complications. If you have kidney stones, make sure you get regular urine tests to check for silent infections. That way, you can prevent any serious issues like sepsis long before they start.

I had a 6mm kidney stone last year and was terrified of complications. My doctor told me sepsis is very rare unless you ignore a major infection for too long. If you feel fine otherwise and are getting treated, you shouldn't worry too much.
