I was reading some public health articles on this last night. Turns out it is pretty uncommon there, with active infections affecting less than 0.5% of the US population, mostly thanks to routine childhood vaccination programs.

US mein vaccine schedule bohot strict hai, toh wahan risk bohot hi kam hai na. Haan par agar safety chahiye toh travel karne se pehle apni vaccine history check kar lena humesha achha hota hai.

Since it is a viral infection, general lifestyle choices won't stop it directly, though keeping your body active helps overall immunity. The rates in the US are very low anyway, but regular light exercise is always good to keep your organs functioning well.

I have realized with my PCOS that you can never guess health stats without checking verified sources. From what I have read, US cases are low, but it's always safer to talk to your healthcare provider if you have specific exposure concerns.

When we moved back, I made sure my son had his vaccination card fully updated. In the US, they are very proactive about child immunization, so children there face very little risk of catching Hepatitis B.
