How common is hepatitis b in the united states?

My cousin just moved to the US for work and he asked me about some health checks. We were discussing Hepatitis B and he mentioned it's quite prevalent there. I was wondering how common Hepatitis B actually is in the United States.

It is actually not very common over there because of routine vaccination drives, but it still exists. Keeping your overall immunity high with clean food and regular training is always a solid baseline for preventing any infection.

Even if the numbers seem low in the US, you can never be too safe with these things. If you are traveling or worried about exposure, please get your blood tests done and check your vaccination status with a proper doctor.

I know how stressful health worries can be, but thankfully Hep B rates are quite low there because children get vaccinated early. While home remedies like amla and turmeric are great for general liver health, they cannot prevent viral infections, so medical vaccination is key.

I researched this heavily when my cousin moved to the US. It affects less than one percent of the population there, mostly due to strict screening and vaccine mandates. Just ensure your family has taken all three doses of the vaccine before traveling, that is the best shield.

As a mother, I always check vaccine requirements before we travel anywhere. In the US, they have very strict vaccine policies for schools, so kids there are highly protected against Hepatitis B.

My family doctor mentioned that acute cases are quite rare in the US now, around 3,000 cases per year. However, chronic Hep B is still present among immigrants who weren't vaccinated in their home countries. Testing is the only way to know for sure.

I was looking into this before my university admissions in the US. It's actually not common at all because they require almost all international students to show proof of Hep B vaccination before starting classes.

My uncle who lives in Texas was telling me that general hygiene and vaccination keeps the numbers very low there. Still, our family doctor back home always says never to take liver health lightly and get a quick booster shot if needed.

I always say, whether it is high BP or infections like Hep B, regular routine checkups are a must. In the US, they screen blood donations very strictly, so the risk of getting it from hospitals is almost zero now.

True, it is relatively rare in the US because of high vaccination coverage since the 1990s.
