How common is gum disease in 20s?

My dentist told me during my last check-up that I have some early signs of gum inflammation. I'm only in my mid-20s, so I thought gum problems were for older people. How common is gum disease for young adults like me?

I recently noticed my gums bleeding a bit while brushing and now I'm super worried. Is this really common for people in their 20s, or should I be panicking? Has anyone else experienced this and got it sorted easily?

Gum disease is actually super common in our 20s, mostly because of high-sugar diets and skipping the floss. Along with your regular workouts, making sure you brush twice and cut down on sugary energy drinks really helps keep your gums healthy.

Yes, mild gum disease or gingivitis is extremely common in your 20s. A simple dental cleaning and regular flossing will fix it easily.

Bro, half of us in our 20s treat flossing like it is a mythical ritual, so yes, gum bleeding is very common! Just go visit a dentist for a cleanup and stop lying to them about how often you floss, haha.

It is very common and usually nothing to worry about. Just try using a soft-bristle toothbrush and make sure to visit a dentist once for a routine checkup.
