How common is breast cancer in woman?

My aunt's friend was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, and it's making all of us quite aware about health. I'm in my mid-thirties and want to understand my risks. How common is breast cancer among women in India, especially in my age group?

Breast cancer is highly common in Indian women today. My mother ignored a minor painless lump for months, which made her treatment much more difficult later on. Please, if you or any woman in your life notices a lump, get it checked by a doctor immediately—don't delay.

I completely understand how terrifying it is to think about breast cancer, especially since it is so common in women. When I found a lump last year, I was crying for days before my appointment, but it turned out to be a harmless cyst. Please get it checked to ease your mind; your feelings are completely valid.

It is the most common cancer among women in India. As a mother, I always tell my daughters to do monthly self-examinations. If you have any concerns or find anything unusual, please visit a doctor for an ultrasound or mammogram right away.

Yes, it is quite common, which is why doctors talk about it more than my relatives talk about marriage! But jokes aside, most lumps women find are actually completely benign. Just get a quick check done by a professional so you can stop worrying and enjoy your day.

Statistics show that breast cancer accounts for almost 25-30% of all cancers in Indian women. My doctor always emphasizes that after age 40, an annual mammogram is a must for early detection. If you are younger, simple self-exams once a month are highly effective in identifying any early changes.

Humare gaon mein bhi ab log iske baare mein baat karte hain, ye kafi aam bimari ho gayi hai bacho. Meri behen ko bhi ek baar darr tha par doctor ne bataya ki wo bas aam ganth thi. Aap bilkul chinta mat karo, bas doctor se ek baar janch karwa lo.

Since breast cancer is so common, you should never take any risks with breast health. Even if you think a lump is just a muscle pull or due to your periods, please get a professional clinical breast exam done. Safety and peace of mind should always come first.
