How can i stop vomiting after eating?

For the last couple of days, I've been feeling nauseous and vomiting right after I eat anything substantial. This is making it hard to keep food down. What could be causing this, and how can I stop it?

I agree with the advice to rest. Sipping slow ginger water or ORS after vomiting helps settle the stomach.

Sip thoda ORS or coconut water slowly-slowly, haan? Ek baar mein poora mat peena. Aur khana bilkul light rakhna jab tak pet theek na ho jaye.

Beta, you can chew on a small piece of ginger or drink some warm fennel water. But if you are unable to keep even water down, please go to a doctor immediately to avoid dehydration.

Try to eat very small, frequent portions of bland food like curd rice or khichdi rather than heavy meals. If the vomiting continues for more than a day, please get it checked by a doctor.

Instead of buying costly medications directly, consult a local general physician who can prescribe affordable antiemetic drops. Keep sipping simple home-made salt and sugar water to avoid expensive IV drips at the hospital.

Whenever my child has this, I give him small sips of cold water every ten minutes rather than a full glass. Give your stomach a complete break from solid food for a few hours.

Make sure you monitor your hydration levels carefully. If you are diabetic, vomiting can fluctuate your blood sugar, so consult your doctor promptly to adjust your medicine and diet.
